Want more information about life as a GP and not yet applied for GP Training?

A series of 16 events organised by the Royal College of General Practitioners and Health Education England are being held across the UK in January – March 2015 which will provide you with an opportunity to really understand life as a GP and the many exciting opportunities that general practice offers as a career. They will provide you with the chance to hear about the unique and varied role that GPs have in the NHS, to ask questions and to meet with fellow medical students and professionals considering general practice as a career.

At Severn we are holding the the event on Wednesday 25th February 2015, from 6.30-8.00pm in Seminar Room 5 at Southmead Hospital. Dr Alison Hutchings is giving our headline presentation at the event. Alison is a Newly Qualified GP, having qualified in 2014; she has been an Education Scholar and is currently an Educator Fellow on the Bath Scheme. She will talk about her recent experiences of GP being a Newly Qualified GP and her GP Training at Severn. There will also be opportunity to meet with and question current practising GPs and current GP Trainees.
